Square Format, Vol 1

I wanted to try something new: digital square format. I set my Nikon Zf to 1:1 and went for a walk in Wright Park here in Tacoma. Turns out the Nikon actually records the RAW as 1:1. I’m committed now!

These work out to about 16MP files, which is more than enough. And that APO-Lanthar is so damn good.

Tacoma in September is just peak weather. The only place I can think of that beats it is London in November on a sunny day…cold, fall, the works. I sat on a bench and read a book and did a few laps between pages to catch the ducks.

I might keep giving this square format thing a go. I’ve done a bit on the GF670, I wasn’t feeling it then but perhaps with more practice it could stick.
