March 1 to 15
As soon as I got back from Vienna I turned around a flew back out to Chicago for a work thing. I am a fan of Chicago. I was able to get out a little during the day but most of my walking was at night.

I’m experimenting a bit with diffusion filters. I have the PolarPro ShortStache, which is a 1⁄4 diffusion and a CPL. It’s…fine? It’s mostly fine. About 50% of the time it’s too glowy, the other 50% of the time it’s just right. I do think it works better at night - it smooths out those heavy highlights - but I’m thinking it’s just too stylized for me.

We even bought some bikes to use this year! Juuust in time for a giant snowstorm to blow through.

Fortunately, it was basically all melted off in 24 hours. I also took a minor solo trip up to Port Angeles, just an effort to get out of the house before another week at the desk. I need a project.
