March Updates

In the spirit of “just put something on the blog”, here are some things happening to me and mine right now.

First off, my wife and I are preparing to do some long treks in Europe. Specifically, the West Highland Way in Scotland and the Camino de Santiago Costal in Portugal and Spain. I don’t know if you can truly be prepared for these things but we’re trying anyway.

Preparation is a lot of things: figuring out where to sleep each night, making sure we don’t get blisters, having the right rain gear, etc, etc. But the main thing is just walking a lot. We’ve been mostly successful at that one to the tune of being able to knock out 8 to 10 mile walks without too much hassle.

Secondly, we’ve done some minor travel. We drove out to Salt Lake to see some friends for the weekend. It was a fantastic time. We saw the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum, the Mormon Tabernacle Square, and walked around Park City. Also, there was excellent food.

And, finally…we’re just getting on in life. Nothing wrong with nothing for a little while. Here’s a picture I took on a hike this past week. See y’all on the next one.
