An January

Now that we’re good and into February, here are some photos from January. Nothing crazy! We’ve been in a town south of Denver for the last six weeks or so. Lots of hiking, snow, sun, and craft beer. I have an Instagram-a-day project going on right this month and am excited to post about that when it’s done.

I love Zeiss Planar lenses; the Hasselblad 80mm, Rollei 35’s 40mm, and Fuji X’s Touit 32mm all share very similar optical qualities. And they’re simple! I love “old, but still around because it’s still very good” kind of things.

For example, a Leica M3!

I ended up selling my M6 - they remain amazing cameras, I just felt like I wanted to change it up. Another camera I came very close to selling is the Q2 Reporter… but man it takes amazing shots and is such a fun camera to use. And it looks so good.

And finally, a shot from the Contax T2. I’ve also sold this camera - point & shoot just isn’t for me - but I miss having a flash for those low-light scenarios (like a bar).
